Since opening in February 2021, this beautiful five-bedroom facility has given families with seriously ill and injured children a place to relax and regroup, just steps away from Essentia Health’s Duluth campus. Like our four Twin Cities locations, RMH Northland offers a caring and comfortable home-away-from-home to families navigating a child’s health crisis.

All pediatric inpatient families at Essentia Health have access to the House for day use. Overnight sleeping rooms are determined by patient acuity and require a Social Work referral.

The pop tab program originated in Minnesota, and it continues to be one of our top fundraisers. Supporters are encouraged to collect tabs from pop cans, soup cans, pet food containers – anything with an aluminum tab.
We can always use the following items:
- Dairy: Butter, cheese (block & shredded), shelf-stable milk, liquid eggs
- Snacks: Beef jerky, jerky & cheese combo packs, granola bars, fruit leathers
- Beverages: Juice boxes, sparkling water, sports drinks
- Pasta sauce: Alfredo and tomato

Families are never charged for our services, so we rely on community support to enable us to offer complimentary lodging, meals and more.
Please email us if special arrangements are needed. RMH Northland has quick and convenient parking for families, volunteers, and donors. To access the parking lot: RMH way-finding signs are located on 5th Avenue and lead into the alleyway where you will find the entrance to the RMH lot. Donors may use the temporary 15–minute parking stall closest to the lobby entrance ramp. Parking meters are also available along 3rd Street and 5th Avenue.
